The most anticipated `GROUP BY ALL` in Postgres 19 feature is being reverted after a post-commit review found a bug. It did not correctly handle columns that appeared in both `GROUP BY` and `ORDER BY`, which could cause incorrect query results when non-default equality rules were used. Fixing the issue properly would require significant code changes and refactoring, which was considered too risky this late in the beta. The team decided to remove the feature for now and revisit it for a cleaner re-implementation in version 20.
