Subject: GQL and Graph Algorithms for DuckDBFirst DuckPGQ and now DuckGQL. DuckGQL is an extension for DuckDB that adds support for the ISO Graph Query Language (GQL), enabling graph queries and algorithms directly on data stored in DuckDB. It lets users analyze relationships and connected data using graph patterns without moving their data to a separate graph database, combining relational and graph analytics in a single embedded engine. Try it out in the playground: https://duckgql.com/ Git repo: https://github.com/rahul-iyer/duckdb-gql What's interesting is that this extension supports Graph Algorithms using the GQL CALL clause:CALL algo.pagerank( 'air_routes', damping := 0.85, max_iterations := 100, tolerance := 1e-8 ) YIELD vertex_id, rank RETURN vertex_id, rank ORDER BY rank DESC LIMIT 10;- |-- ReplyFrom: Stefania Song | Date: Fri, 24 Jul 2026 21:36:39 +0000 #DuckGQL aims to integrate an expanding subset of the ISO Graph Query Language (GQL) standard into DuckDB, enabling developers to query, modify, and analyze property graphs without requiring a separate graph database system. The project currently provides support for the following features:
- Standalone GQL parsing and execution
- Property graph creation and management
- Core graph query capabilities, including
MATCH, filtering, aggregation, and bounded path traversal - Graph mutation operations through
INSERT,SET, andDELETE - Fundamental graph algorithms, including Breadth-First Search (BFS), PageRank, Weakly Connected Components (WCC), and Strongly Connected Components (SCC)
- Transaction management and query plan inspection through
